The Touch

Have you ever been afraid of
tapping one's shoulder...
holding one's hand...
touching one's cheek...
propping up one's back?

Then you might be afraid of
being touched and moved...
being loved and warmed...
being cuddled and heartened...
by those who really care for you!

Since it's only those
who are willing to be touched,
and are pleased to be candid,
will unearth the fire in their lives,
and be graced with undying love.

We seem to secure ourselves,
in a fortress of fear and distrust.
So from now on, dear friends,
try not to theorise on anyone,
but plainly allow any warmth,
given to you at no cost.
